Online Meeting with NAQA (Ukraine)

On February 3, 2025, representatives of NEAQA participated in an online meeting with representatives of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance of Ukraine (NAQA). The meeting aimed to exchange experiences in the training and evaluation of reviewers involved in accreditation procedures.

The NEAQA delegation included Prof. Dr. Nebojša Zdravković, Director of NAT; Prof. Dr. Stefan Milojević, Chief of Staff and Assistant Director; Emilia Jovana Knežević, International Cooperation Officer; and Janko Balšić, Secretary-General.

The meeting was chaired by Nataliia Stukalo, Deputy Head of NAQA, who, in her opening remarks, expressed satisfaction with the continuation of cooperation between the two institutions. During the meeting, NAQA representatives presented their experiences in training reviewers (experts) and assessing their performance. Oxana Trebenko, Head of the Analytics and Training Support Department, presented Ukraine’s expert training system, while Olena Knysh, Leading Specialist of the Analytics and Training Support Department, spoke about expert performance evaluation.

Training and continuous professional development of reviewers are crucial for improving the quality of accreditation processes, as they enable experts to stay updated with the latest standards, methodologies, and practices in quality assurance. Effective evaluation of expert performance further contributes to the objectivity and reliability of the accreditation process, ensuring a high level of quality in higher education.

The meeting concluded with a discussion and exchange of feedback, with an agreement to continue cooperation between the two agencies to further enhance quality assurance procedures in higher education.
