Public call for international external experts (peer-reviewers) in the process of accreditation and quality assurance of higher education institutions in the Republic of Serbia

By virtue of Article 12, paragraph 1, item 17, and Article 19, paragraph 1, item 7, of the Law on Higher Education (“Official Gazette of RS” No. 88/2017, 27/2017 – as amended 73/2018), The National Council of Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia, (hereinafter: the National Council) announced the following

PUBLIC CALL FOR INTERNATIONAL EXTERNAL EXPERTS (PEER-REVIEWERS) IN THE PROCESS OF ACCREDITATION AND QUALITY ASSURANCE OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

LEGAL GROUNDS

Pursuant to Article 12, paragraph 1, item 17, and Article 19, Paragraph 1, Item 7, of the Law on Higher Education, The National Council at its session held on February 28th, 2019 announced the repeated public call for applications of external international experts (peer-reviewers) in the accreditation and quality assurance of higher education institutions in the Republic of Serbia from foreign higher education institutions, and to publish it on the official website of the National Council.

External international experts (peer-reviewers) will be appointed by the Director of the National Accreditation Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Serbia (NEAQA), from the list determined by the National Council, on a proposal of the Commission for accreditation and quality assurance (CAQA) of the National Accreditation Entity.

REQUIREMENTS

Eligible candidates for external international experts (peer-reviewers) are foreign university scholars with significant academic and scientific reputation and integrity. Experience in accreditation and quality assurance of higher education institutions is expected.

In the Application form, in addition to his/her full name, applicants submit the information on the country, the city and the institution where they obtained the highest level of education, the current educational/scientific title and year in which they were elected in it, and the educational/scientific, or educational/artistic field and area in which they were elected. In addition to the Application form applicants are required to submit their CV in electronic format.

The selected foreign reviewers will be listed on the Register of external international experts of the NEAQA and will be invited to take part in particular evaluation processes depending upon the need.

DEADLINES AND METHOD OF SUBMISSION

The public call is open until December 31, 2019.
